The Kunstverein Augsburg has now been in existence for 188 years. It promotes the cultivation of contemporary art from Germany and abroad in Augsburg.
In addition to presenting already established contemporary art, the Augsburg Kunstverein repeatedly creates free space for unsecured, young artistic positions beyond commercial interests. The exhibitions are mainly shown in the Holbeinhaus.
The Augsburg Art Association complements and enriches its exhibition projects with other arts such as literature, music, theatre or art-scientific lectures. It organises trips to culturally remarkable places and events.
