With GROUNDFLOOR PLAYGROUND, the Kunstverein is launching an exhibition format that is as playful as it is flexible and pandemic-friendly. The game is played according to simple, very open rules:
1. An artist invited by the Kunstverein invites another artist to play on the first floor of the Kunstverein together with him.
2. A cross-over of different art genres is desired, but not obligatory.
3. A juxtaposition of the presented works is just as conceivable as an over-, through- or against each other.
4. At least one joint action or work by the artists is an integral part of each "game", which, as a digital, web-compliant format, has the character of an independent work.
GROUNDFLOOR PLAYGROUND sees itself as an experimental field for young positions. It is to be opened at irregular intervals between the "classical" exhibitions. The "play and opening hours" will be announced at short notice on the project's website.
